Makara Khov
Makara Khov (Treasurer) was born in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 1987. He attended Chaktomuk Junior High and Sisowath Senior High School in Phnom Penh. He was very good at math and studying in math class for the whole three years of his high school life. As a consequence, Makara won a Silver Medal for National Math Competition in 2004 in Sihanoukville.
In the same year, Makara started his medical degree at the University of Health Science and business degree at the University of Cambodia.
In 2007, Makara came to study in Australia on private fund doing a business degree at Victoria University. After graduating, he began working as an accountant in Melbourne with a Khmer owned RST Consulting Pty. Ltd. and Raebia Holdings Pty. Ltd.
After holding a student visa status for more than five years, finally in October 2011, Makara was granted an Australian permanent residency visa status, which to him was one of his proudest moments of his life.
Makara now lives in Melbourne, Australia – a continent apart from his parents, siblings, relatives and close friends.
