Chanphala Smel
Chanphala Smel came to Australia in 2003. Currently he is a team leader at Aluminium Industry in Melbourne, Australia. He obtained a business degree from Vitoria University of Technology.
Between 1996 and 2002, Chanphala was working for the Council for Development of Cambodia and Cambodian Rehabilitation and Development Board in Phnom Penh.
He involved in the summarizing various program/project documents of Government’s development partners, taking minutes of meeting and organizing meetings in relation to aid coordination.
In 2001, he was promoted to the position of Bureau Chief in the Bilateral Aid Coordination & Management Department.
In 1999, Chanphala participated in the youth Invitation Programme, for the promotion of the better understanding amongst youth, which was held in Japan.
In 2000, he has attended the Managing Agriculture Systems Course at The International of Public Administration (INTAN) in Malaysia.
Chanphal was born 1972 in Phnom Penh and married Kong Leang Vuorch in 2001.
