Puthborey Phon
Puthborey Phon (Assistant Secretary) is currently undertaking his master degree in Information Technology at Monash University in Melbourne.
Borey obtained his Bachelor of Computer Science in 2007 from Norton University, Cambodia. Borey has been interested social development, and began working at the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in 2006. He was involved in the mass media, which was different from what he had learnt in his undergraduate. His work was to empower women and enhance gender equity in Cambodia’s society.
Borey became a committee member of CANS because this non-profit organisation’s missions and objectives convince him. What interests Borey the most is CANS’s idea of helping vulnerable, disadvantaged children in Cambodia to get better education in which I strongly believe that it can change one’s life from abject misery as Malcom X, an African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist, also contented that, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today”.
