Sivantha Hul
Sivantha Hul (1st Vice President) is currently pursuing her Master of Health Social Sciences at the University of Melbourne. She is a former Non-Government Organisation (NGO) staff in Cambodia for more than ten years and possesses more than five year experience in teaching career with organisations such as World Vision, Oxfam GB, KHANA and public school.
She also has other experiences as a financial assistant, a program assistant, a planning and reporting officer, a programme coordinator and a regional team leader. Sivantha has been involved in areas of Policy, Advocacy and Communication and national technical working group of drug and HIV, to share, learn and propose a safe platform for the most vulnerable groups so that they can share their concerns and express their needs.
Sivantha has a strong commitment to working towards the transformation of the lives of poor children and women through promoting equality and rights of these people. She hopes to contribute to making positive change in the society. Although, she’s quite immersed in areas of education, HIV/AIDS, drug and community development, her particular field of interest is Harm Reduction.
She considers learning is everywhere and the learning process is endless – ‘Life is the art’ and ‘it is the art of her life’.
Sivantha’s passion is to inspire the later generation of Cambodian AusAid awardees to share CANS vision, mission and objectives. She wants to see these new students fully benefit from CANS activities by offering them assistance and helping them to overcome both academic and non-academic challenges while they live temporarily in Australia.
